O Holy Night
Reading the
Christmas story in Luke and having the children participate by playing
different parts is a family tradition of our family and many other families. We
have many precious memories of our children playing Joseph and Mary, the shepherds,
the angels and even the newest born child as the baby Jesus. Most of the time I
was the donkey! Christmas brings families, neighbors and even nations together
to celebrate the birth of a baby born over 2000 years ago. Who does not remember the Angel’s message to
the shepherds that night and then the choir of angels singing on that first
Christmas morning?
Fear not:
for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall
be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the
city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall
be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:10-14)
The music at
Christmas time is uplifting and wonderful. I would like to share some of my
favorite Christmas videos and music. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I
wish you and your families a very merry Christmas.
